RJRobinson started trading as Robinson Bros. general merchants and farmers in Hillsborough. Throughout the years as the family were more involved they further developed the business into the sales and servicing of farm equipment.
Through the 70’s and 80’s the business expanded selling tractors, plant machinery and 4wd vehicles, exporting to the middle and far eastern markets.
The focus of the farm at that time was a mix of beef and grain. The early 90’s opened up a market for locally produced vegetable protein. RJR crop driers installed a rotary dehydration plant producing high quality dried grass products.
Looking to the future RJRobinson are still enthusiastic with the potential of producing quality food and and the supply of good quality machinery.
In 1929 RJ Robinson senior started trading as Robinson Brothers.
RJ Robinson & Sons (NI) Limited incorporated buying and selling of agricultural and construction machinery.
The company further developed the exporting of farm equipment.
The creation of RJR crop driers primarily producing dehydrated grass products.
RJ Robinson is involved in arable farming and the sale of farming and construction machinery.
RJRobinson are concentrating on arable production with a focus on sustainable practices in farming.
With this ethos of sustainability RJR have established approximately 10 acres of woodland and nature areas around the farm which provides good habitat for all types of wildlife.
This also benefits various community groups in the area who are able to enjoy healthy living and working in an active landscape valued by everyone.
